Sunday 14 February 2-5pm
Join us on Sunday afternoon for a pop up Bookshop at Boxcopy and browse through an eclectic arrangement of pre-loved art books available for cash purchase.
For this event we have commissioned a limited edition work Pocket Money in the form of a book bag by Archie Moore.
Archie Moore’s conceptual practice includes paintings, drawings, sculpture, installation, photographs, video and, more recently, aromas embedded in Aboriginal politics as well as the broader concerns of racism, language, identity and interpersonal understanding. Archie completed his Bachelor of Visual Arts at QUT in 1998 and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in 2001 with the support of the Anne & Gordon Samstag Scholarship. Archie has exhibited widely in Australia and will be taking part in 20th Biennale of Sydney in 2016. He is represented by The Commercial Gallery, Sydney.
SLIDING DOOR (2014-2015)
On Sunday we will also be launching the Sliding Door (2014-2015) compilation, a limited edition series of artist ephemera curated by Brooke Ferguson featuring: Archie Moore, Danielle Clej, Elizabeth Willing, Dirk Yates, Hayley Brandon, Annie Boman, Marianne Templeton, Benjamin Crowley, Tim Kerr, Catherine or Kate, Daniel McKewen and Erika Scott.
