Adam Cruickshank
Adam Cruickshank is an artist currently living and working in Melbourne. Cruickshank’s practice exploits liminal positions between definitions and materials in order to force meaning and interpretation into flux. Formal and conceptual aggregates avoid existing hierarchies and stress the potential inherent within forms of community. Much of the work for Requested Fields Must Not Be Left Blank acknowledges the dynamic nature of static materiality and draws associations between apparently incommensurate ideas and forms. Cruickshank’s work has been shown internationally (UK, Germany, Netherlands) as well as at numerous galleries in Australia, particularly Melbourne. He is currently an MFA candidate at Monash University and has been the artist representative board member for Platform Contemporary Art Spaces since 2009.
