Tim Plaisted

Extra Fins records strategies that artist Tim Plaisted has devised to learn about flight, only sometimes hindered by broken bones. Because we all fly at times, Extra Fins might be seen as ways for participants to improve at flying faster or more consistently. Plaisted is a Brisbane-based media artist who works with digital and traditional materials. His current areas of investigation include flight, immersion using accessible, networked technology and play. His previous work has been included in three Multimedia Art Asia Pacific Festivals and exhibited in Australia, Korea, Mexico, Singapore, Thailand, UK and USA and reviewed in Artforum.
